Course Content
A continuation of Teaching Languages to Young Learners 1. Methods and techniques to teach foreign language skills and language elements to young learners; different syllabus types (story-based, content-based, theme-based, task-based) for early learner (5-12 years) groups; the effective use of children s literature in selected syllabus, classroom management, language presentation and exercises; activities for teaching vocabulary, language skills, language structure (eg: jigsaw, story, gaming and simulation), audiovisual tools (eg: picture, real objects, cartoon, puppet and songs) development; classroom research and action research in young learner classes, extra-curricular activities for young learners.
