Course Content

The purpose of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the concept of “energy” as an issue beyond its technical understanding but more as an issue that is central in economic development, welfare and power. The course on the one hand aims to dwell on the political character of energy from numerous angles: energy production, trade and consumption. On the other hand, the course aims to dwell on the regulatory requirements regarding energy. To this end it aims to provide an understanding of issues such as national and transnational regulatory capacities and mechanism (supply, demand and climate change
