Course Content

This course aims in developing an understanding of banking and financial intermediaries, and their workings. The course explains why banks and other financial intermediaries are special and describes the various types of financial intermediaries in the economy. This course intends to focus on banks as a type of financial intermediary. Moreover, the role of financial intermediaries in the real economy will be examined throughout the course.
