Course Content

There has been an increasing appeal of constructivism; in the fields of political science, sociology and international relations theory. Constructivism, generally, is associated with the issues of politics of identity and the cultural dimensions of political processes and the international relations. Moreover, the theoretical and methodological problems inherent to this approach concerning the ontological and epitemological issues such as cultural relativism and epitemological pluralism are also widely discussed within the philosophy of (social) science(s). This course aims to engage with this literature from a critical perspective while encouraging the students to carry out studies combining the theoretical concerns with the possible case studies.
